With an Abiding Love . . .
Many catechists across the Greater Chicago area, the United States, and indeed the world, have been blessed to have known our mentor, Tina Lillig. Tina imbued the peace and love freely given to us by the Good Shepherd which we in turn have committed to share with others, children and adults alike. As a catechist and formation leader for many years, in addition to being the first national director of the National Association of CGS -USA, Tina inspired both of us to fall deeper and deeper in love with the work and the Good Shepherd.
With increased interest in courses, our own journeys for recognition as formation leaders, our faith in the Holy Spirit and our abiding love of Tina, we began serious discussions of honoring her in some way. In October 2012, after a few years of discussion and consideration, with the blessing of Tina's husband, John, The Tina Lillig Formation Center for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd was established and has been supported by Lake Michigan Catechists since then.
We hope that this center will allow us to share the love for the children and the Good Shepherd with as many interested adults as possible in the region.
